Plano was recently overrun by thousands of Santa’s helpers for the 5th Annual Santa Run Texas at the Dr Pepper Snapple Group Headquarters.

The festive event featured a giant snow globe in which participants could climb in and have their photo taken. The interactive display was a huge hit and became the go-to activity for all ages.

Participants were encouraged to bring their pets dressed in their finest Christmas attire to compete for prizes. The community was also invited to customize their red wagons, strollers and wheelchairs for the Best Sleigh competition. Park Place Jaguar brought a red Jaguar F-type convertible for the REAL Santa to ride in to lead the procession of runners to the starting line.

The Santa Run Texas benefited My Possibilities, which is dedicated to empowering adults with cognitive disabilities including Autism, Down syndrome, Asperger’s, Prader-Willi, and head injuries. The organization is the first full-day, full-year program in Collin County for Texans who have “aged out” of secondary education. My Possibilities helps special needs adults build independence and vocational skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
