The Plano Chapter of the Young Men's Service League honored its 2012 senior class at their banquet at the Bent Tree Country Club on Sunday, April 22. The Young Men's Service League is a mother-son organization that is dedicated to serving the local community and enhancing the mother-son relationship. The young men and their mothers participate in a four-year program of philanthropy, education and leadership.

Through the Young Men's Service League, these 17 young men have participated in and helped out multiple charity organizations and special events every year, including the Seven Loaves Food Pantry, the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, Children's Medical Hospital, JDRF, Meals on Wheels, M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), and Operation Kindness No Kill Animal Shelter.

Each member of the Young Men's Service League is required to serve at least 20 hours of community service. And in addition to their service hours, the young men are required to attend monthly meetings where they develop leadership skills and other essential life skills.
