If you have any Labor Day plans that involve traveling along the Dallas North Tollway, prepare for closures over the holiday weekend.  

As part of the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) LBJ Express project, the first round of major closures affecting the Tollway and loop ramps is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 3. 

In connection with the 17-mile project, crews will reconstruct the I-635 bridge over the Tollway.  Reconstruction of portions of connecting ramps within the interchange will also occur during the estimated 18-month process. 

Dallas North Tollway closures for Aug. 31-Sept. 3: 

• Various lanes closed on northbound and southbound DNT with intermediate full highway closures from Harvest Hill to Alpha Road

• The northbound DNT exit ramp to westbound LBJ closed

• The southbound DNT exit ramp to eastbound LBJ closed
