The Adventure Guides recently spent the weekend at Sky Ranch in Van, TX. The Dynamite Dudes tribe was among those who helped deliver relief supplies to the First Assembly Church of God for families affected by the tornado.

Summer is officially here at the YMCA!! Summer Camp has begun, school is out, and it will be a busy summer at the Plano Family YMCA. There will be approximately 100 summer campers per day in the building for Teen Camp, Day Camp and Camp on the Lake. What a great time to be a member of the Y!

Join in June for $0

Join a team, join a class, join new friends. Get active, get healthy, get involved. At the Y, there's something for everyone. Financial assistance and income based memberships are available.

Annual Campaign

The 2015 Annual Campaign has come to an end. Approximately $175,000 was raised for the Plano Family YMCA. This money will be used to provide assistance to those children and families that cannot afford to participate in programs at the Plano YMCA.

Father of the Year

Congratulations Miles Humphries for being named the Plano Family YMCA's Father of the Year! Humphries exemplifies the best of the YMCA's character values: caring, respect, and responsibility. He is the father of five daughters, all of whom have participated in the YMCA's Adventure Guide Program. Along with serving as a volunteer at his church, Humphries has participated in a total of nine Christmas parades where he has provided and built numerous floats.

Adventure Guides

The Adventure Guides recently spent the weekend at Sky Ranch in Van, TX. Adventure Guide Dads helped gather diapers, water, food, clean linens and cash donations.

Preschool Graduation

The Plano Family YMCA recently held its preschool graduation. The graduation was attended by 35 families. The Plano YMCA preschool curriculum includes arts & crafts, science, math & counting, story time, pre-phonics, character building, letters, colors & shapes, weather & seasons, calendars, Spanish, nutritional components and sign language.

Summer Camps

It's summertime! We are now offering new experiences and day camp activities for hundreds of youth. From traditional summer camps that encourage kids to explore new adventures, to preschool camps where campers participate in themed weeks and hands-on learning, we've got you covered! Take a look!

Camp on the Lake

The premier waterfront day camp for kids 6-13. Located on Lake Lewisville, the camp provides a slew of summer camp activities that are usually exclusive to sleep-away camps. Your camper will enjoy canoeing, archery, horseback riding, water activities, crafts, and much more. Whether playing, exploring nature or conquering new experiences, your child will be creating memories that last a lifetime.

Attend one or all twelve 5-day sessions. Located at Lake Lewisville, pickup is at the Plano Y.
This camp is held weekly, Monday- Friday, through Aug. 21.

Camp Chippewa (Traditional Day Camp) 5-12 yrs

Traditional Day Camps provide youth with activities that allow them to experience a variety of different adventures, teach core values, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Participants attend weekly field-trips and camps include weekly swim time. This camp is perfect for kids that love the great outdoors.

Located at the Plano Y, this camp is held weekly, Monday-Friday, through Aug. 21.

Teen Camp 12-15 yrs

Through differently weekly themes, teen campers will experience traditional camp activities along with interactive field trips, team-building skills, service projects, and character building all while having fun and meeting new people!

Field trips include Six Flags, Hawaiian Falls, Main Event, Frisco Rough Riders Game, and more! This camp is held weekly, Monday- Friday, through Aug. 21.
