Pillar Commercial announced today the appointment of two local rising stars to new executive positions. Jarod Jaggers, who has been with Pillar since 2007, was promoted to vice president of leasing. Plano resident Matt Waldon, most recently with Hartman Income REIT, was hired from the outside as a vice president and will be responsible for marketing and leasing Pillar’s office and industrial portfolio.

In his new role, Jaggers will be responsible for the marketing and leasing of all office projects owned and managed by Pillar Commercial. Prior to joining Pillar, Jaggers worked on the tenant representation side of the industry with NAI Robert Lynn, where he was responsible for new busienss development, market research, and transaction brokering, both locally and throughout the U.S. Jaggers also worked for Partners National Real Estate Group, where he supported national corporate accounts. Jaggers holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. 

With Hartman Income REIT, Waldon was responsible for the firm’s Dallas portfolio, which consisted of nine buildings totaling more than seven hundred and fifty thousand square feet. He was a top producer in new and total business for both 2010 and 2011. Prior to Hartman, Waldon was on the leasing team at RM Crowe, where he sourced new tenant rep business throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and represented in-house and third-party assignments totaling more than eight hundred thousand square feet. Waldon holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Austin College, and is a member of North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and The Real Estate Council, as well as an active participant in Dallas Real Estate Ministries’ MissionMarketplace.
