Faith Lutheran School Board of Christian Education Chairman Steven Krycho of Plano, Faith Lutheran School sixth grade teacher Nancy Ingram of Allen, Faith Lutheran School science teacher Quentin Blackerby of Plano, Brenda Cumming, daughter of Faith Lutheran School first grade teacher Jan Kueck and Aaron Cumming, grandson of Faith Lutheran School first grade teacher Jan Kueck (they received the award on Kueck's behalf) and Faith Lutheran School Headmaster Rev. Stephen W. Kieser of Plano. Krycho and Kieser presented certificates of appreciation and a small gift to each staff member in recognition of their years of service at the Faith Lutheran Church & School annual Faith Family Picnic on Sunday, May 3, 2015.

On Sunday, May 3, 2015, Faith Lutheran School students and their families gathered with members of Faith Lutheran Church, Faith Lutheran School faculty and staff and members of the community for the the school's annual Faith Family Picnic.

At the event, three staff members at Faith Lutheran School were recognized for years of service anniversaries:

-Jan Kueck of Plano - Faith Lutheran School first grade teacher who will be retiring in June, recognized for having served 37 years as a teacher in Lutheran schools, including 33 years at Faith Lutheran School. (Kueck's award was received on her behalf by her daughter Brenda Cumming and grandson Jacob Cumming, both of Allen.)
-Nancy Ingram of Allen - Faith Lutheran School sixth grade teacher, recognized for serving 20 years as a teacher at Faith Lutheran School.
-Quentin Blackerby of Plano - Faith Lutheran science teacher, recognized for serving 10 years as a teacher in Lutheran Schools, including one year at Faith Lutheran School.

"We are blessed to have these talented people serving at our school," said Faith Lutheran School Headmaster Rev. Stephen. W Kieser of Plano. "They are a blessing to all of us, especially to our students. We thank God for them and for their service."

In 1971, the congregation of Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas established a four-year-old preschool for children of the congregation. Since then, the school has grown and opened enrollment to others in the community on a tuition basis.
