About
Plano Metropolitan Ballet is an organization of local student dancers, ages 10 -18, who audition every spring to become a part of the dance company. The dancers all train at Gotta Dance studio in Plano. PMB is under the artistic direction of Cindi Lawrence Hanson.

Every January, Plano Metropolitan Ballet performs an original fairy tale ballet at the Courtyard Theater in historic downtown Plano. In addition to the fairy tale ballet, PMB also sponsors the Plano Dance Festival at the Courtyard Theater every spring, which is an exhibition of local student dancers, as well as local and national professional dancers and dance companies, performing ballet, modern/contemporary, and even tap dancing. Plano Metropolitan Ballet also gives back to the community in the form of their PMB Pals class every Friday night at Gotta Dance. The Pals class provides dance lessons to special needs students in our community, who might not otherwise be able to participate in a dance class. It is taught by a Gotta Dance instructor and volunteers from Plano Metropolitan Ballet.
