Prosper Fire Station Breaks Ground Yielding shovels were (left to right) Town Manager Harlan Jefferson, Craig Martin of TVG, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Curry Vogelsang, Council members Jason Dixon and Mike Korbuly, Mayor Ray Smith, Ben Pogue of Pogue Construction, Council member Kenneth Dugger, Mayor Pro Tem Meigs Miller and Prosper Fire Chief Ronnie Tucker.
Officials in Prosper turned dirt to symbolically begin construction of the Town’s second fire station this week.  Located on the west side of Prosper, the full-service fire station will sit on land donated to the Town by Terra Verde Group (TVG), the developers of Prosper’s Windsong Ranch.

“Safety is always our number one concern for our residents,” said Craig Martin, founding partner of TVG.  “With this public service facility in our community, it will enhance a sense of security and also greatly reduce response times for residents of Windsong Ranch and the entire west Prosper area.”

The fire station, the second for the Prosper Fire Department, will include a full complement of fire-fighting equipment, emergency medical service personnel and equipment, a police substation and the required amenities necessary for 24-hour operation.

According to Fire Chief Ronnie Tucker, another important benefit of the new fire station is that insurance rates are also expected to drop dramatically, saving Windsong residents and other area homeowners on their homeowners insurance.

Pogue Construction is building the station, which will be fully operation in 12 months.

Trinity Falls recently announced two new homebuilders to build in the next phase of the 1,700-acre premier master-planned community in northwest McKinney.  Trinity Falls, located only minutes from the intersection of 75/Central Expressway and Highway 380, is the newest and one of the largest master-planned developments in Collin County.  Award-winning builders Highland Homes and MHI’s Plantation Homes are expected to break ground on their models in Phase II by late Fall and will be open by early 2016.

“This is a very exciting time for Trinity Falls,” said Leisha Ehlert, Vice President of Asset Management and Development for Castle Hill Partners, who is overseeing the development of the community.  “Highland Homes and Plantation Homes are both well-established builders recognized for their high quality product, exceptional customer service and innovative home designs. Both builders will greatly complement the development and current builder program.”

New home sales in the initial phase of the master-planned community have already surpassed 200 homes since its Grand Opening in August 2014. First phase Trinity Falls builders include Ashton Woods, Beazer Homes, Emerald Homes and Gehan Homes and feature multiple product types with prices ranging from the mid $200s to upper $400s. Experts say this new premier master-planned community, with upscale amenities typically expected in a much higher priced community, is the answer to the underserved affordable market.

“With the recent completion of The Club, and the first phase of the 300-acre Trinity Falls B.B. Owen Park, the North Texas community has been very receptive to Trinity Falls and the unique lifestyle that blends natural and resort-style amenities for residents to enjoy,” Ehlert said.  “We are thrilled with the enthusiasm for our growing community.”

With nearly two miles of frontage on the East Fork of the Trinity River and over 450 acres of open space planned, Trinity Falls will feature a park system unrivaled by any other master plan in the DFW market. Backed by an $11 million endowment from the B.B. Owen Trust, amenities planned for the Trinity Falls Park include over 20 miles of nature and hike and bike trails, an amphitheater, athletic fields, championship disc golf, multiple outdoor gathering spaces, playgrounds, picnic areas and a series of recreational lakes for fishing, boating and canoeing.

Plans also include three onsite McKinney ISD elementary schools as well as retail and commercial components.  At full build-out Trinity Falls will have approximately 4,200 homes. For more information on Trinity Falls, please visit www.trinityfalls.com.

Prosper ISD, local dignitaries and the Windsong Ranch community gathered recently to break ground on the new Windsong Elementary School, which will be ready for the 2016-2017 school year.

“We are grateful for this new elementary school coming on line in Windsong Ranch, said Dr. Drew Watkins, Prosper ISD Superintendent.  “Prosper ISD continues to be one of the top five fastest growing school districts in the state so we can’t get these schools on line fast enough.”

Prosper ISD is expecting enrollment to increase this fall by 1,200 students from when school let out in May.  It is one of the highest ranked school districts in the state of Texas and continues to add new programs such as orchestra, which was just phased in at the high school level.

This is the first elementary school to be built on the west side of the Tollway in Prosper to serve the burgeoning student population.  Windsong Elementary will be the 5th elementary school in the district, built with a target student population of 700-750 students. Windsong Ranch is slated to house two elementary schools and a middle school within the community.

“This onsite elementary school within Windsong Ranch gives students the opportunity to bike or walk safely to school,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch. “That’s been part of our master plan design and will enhance our sense of community and give families a first-class educational environment for all future schools,” said Martin.

The school was designed by Huckabee Architects and Pogue Construction is the General Contractor.

Named 2015 Community of the Year for DFW, Windsong Ranch is located 2.5 miles west of the Dallas North Tollway and north of Highway 380. For more information on Windsong Ranch, please visit http://www.windsongranchliving.com.

One year after Dallas-based, full-service digital marketing agency, Agency Entourage acquired Numantra, the agency is once again on pace to double its size and triple its footprint.

Known for its digital strategy and integrated online marketing approach, Agency Entourage is behind successful digital marketing campaigns for Texas-based brands such as Christian Brothers Automotive, Pizza Patron, Centurion American Development, Chalkboard China and TIGI Hair Care.

Principal and CEO Ben Randolph credits the agency’s success to its unique client service approach inside its think tank clubhouse in the Alto 211 “tech mecca” tower in downtown Dallas.

“We think like partners but bring an entrepreneurial energy to problem solving for our clients,” said Randolph.  “The merger doubled our size and capabilities and strengthened our creative services and strategic consulting offerings.  Over the last year we have experienced quick but steady growth and expect to double our size again in the next two years.”

Agency Entourage plans to move into a new 26,000 square foot headquarters by the end of the year, tripling its footprint from the 7,000 square feet in currently occupies.  That move will allow the agency to add another 60 employees.  The firm has grown from 14 employees prior to the acquisition last year to a current staff of 27.  Its revenue has also increased 37% percent since the merger was completed last July.

But Randolph says it’s not about getting bigger.  The agency wants to provide an entourage of strategists for its clients’ growth.

“Most of our clients are mid-size businesses but as they grow, we want to grow with them.  Many of our clients have been with us since the agency began in 2009.  They stay with us because we take a business approach to marketing and build intelligent, efficient plans that get results.  We are entrepreneurial and provide value to our clients in other ways besides just marketing support.”

Agency Entourage, a Dallas-based full-service creative digital agency (www.agencyentourage.com), helps brands explore modern ways to communicate.  Founded in 2009, Agency Entourage is a five-time winner of the DFW AMA Marketer of the Year award with work spanning across the web, mobile, social media strategy, digital advertising, video production, product innovation, brand development and consulting services.  Agency Entourage has been a pioneer in the digital marketing and communications industry.  For some inspiration please follow our Instagram www.instagram.com/agencyentourage.

Movoto, an online real estate brokerage firm, has named Sachse to the Top 10 Best Dallas Suburbs for Families.  Movoto credits Sachse as a peaceful suburb with spacious farmhouse, ranch and craftsman style homes with large yards that give a big family plenty of room to spread out.

"We are thrilled to be named by Movoto as one of the best Dallas suburbs," said Leslyn Blake, CEO of Sachse Economic Development Corporation.  "Sachse continues to garner national attention because it’s a great place to live and we are the closest fastest growing city to Dallas."

Movoto used the following criteria to rank the suburbs:

  • GreatSchools.org score
  • Total crimes per 100k
  • Unemployment rate
  • Average commute time
  • Median household income
  • Median monthly housing costs (the lower the better)

Sachse’s Armstrong Elementary received a rating of 9 out of 10 from Greatschools.org.  The other schools in the city received 7 out of 10.  Sachse schools are part of the Garland Independent School District, the second-largest district in Dallas County and are also served by Wylie ISD.

A low crime rate also helped Sachse make the list.  The city is safer than 82% of the cities in the United States and its overall crime rate is 64% lower than the national average.  Sachse recently ranked 5th on the Safest Cities in Texas list.

The average household income in Sachse is $105,000, which is 72% greater than the Texas average and 67.2% greater than the national average and the median monthly housing cost is $1,800, well below other North Texas suburbs.

Movoto weighted the GreatSchools.org score and total crimes per 100k score to make up 25 percent of the final score, while the rest of the categories made up 10 percent.  They also sourced data from GreatSchools.orgAreaVibes, and the U.S. Census.

Located at Highway 78, 1.5 miles from the Bush Turnpike, Sachse has a population of 23,000 and more than 7,000 households.  Once a bedroom community, the booming city now has over 120,000 vehicles a day on the main arteries of Hwy. 78 and the President George Bush Turnpike.

The Sachse Economic Development Corporation acts on behalf of the City of Sachse in promoting and developing authorized projects, while supporting economic development activities to retain, expand and attract businesses for the purpose of diversifying the tax base and improving the quality of life of the citizens of Sachse.  For more information, go to www.sachseedc.com.

Tella Firma Solid Earth Foundations (tellafirma.com) announced today it will be exhibiting at the 2015 Sunbelt Builders Show™, which will be held July 29–30 at the Gaylord Texan.  The show is one of the largest building industry events in North America and is owned and operated by the Texas Association of Builders.  The show draws thousands of residential construction industry professionals from the United States, Canada and Mexico and features more than 200 exhibit booths.

“Tella Firma offers home builders commercial foundations in a residential application, which can help builders avoid future warranty issues. Over the last decade we’ve become the preferred foundation for many custom homebuilders. While the industry’s leading production builders have shown great interest, Tella Firma hasn’t been a foundation solution they could cost effectively deploy on a
wide-scale basis—until now,” shared Jim Fontaine, President and CEO of Tella Firma.

Tella Firma is efficient, economical and easy to use, and it creates additional value for homebuyers.

It is the first company to bring elevated slab foundations to the production home market at an affordable price.  Earlier this month, Tella Firma announced that Lennar Homes signed on as the first production builder to recognize the need for revolutionizing the way home foundations are built.

By using a field-tested, patented process of elevating a slab-on-grade foundation, Tella Firma creates a protective void between the ground and the home itself. Most foundation damage results from soil movement that can be caused by expansion and contraction of clay soils due to moisture change or by seismic activity.  This application isolates the slab and guards it from damaging soil swells, contractions and unexpected movement caused by light earthquakes.

The Tella Firma foundation system is based on commercial engineering principles that have been in practice for over 50 years. The system provides the strength and protection of a pier-and-beam foundation, yet it is much more affordable and takes less time to install when compared to most traditional suspended foundations.  Tella Firma foundations also utilize a green installation process, to avoid the need to use any type of chemical or water injection into the soil under the home.

Dallas-based Tella Firma is revolutionizing the way home foundations are built. Tella Firma gets its name from the Latin “strong home.”  Foundations with the company's product have been installed throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, and Tella Firma has plans to expand into new residential and commercial developments throughout the area.  For more information, go to tellafirma.com.
