Chase Oaks Golf Club in Allen has a new name—The Courses at Watters Creek.  Along with a new name, the course will receive a new look.  The City of Allen has closed the course for renovations, scheduled through November 2012.

All golf programs at the course have been canceled, except for the First Tee program, which will move to the Twin Creeks Golf Club in Allen.  

According to a press release, the course will undergo a complete renovation:

To adjust to today’s player and pace and to breathe new life into the City of Allen's municipal golf course, The Courses at Watter's Creek, formerly Chase Oaks Golf Club, deserved a complete makeover. Today, it’s getting what it deserves. The City of Allen has closed the golf course for renovation enlisting the award-winning Weibring-Wolfard Golf Design firm to completely overhaul the course.

Led by PGA Tour professional D.A. Weibring and acclaimed golf course architect Steve Wolfard, Weibring-Wolfard has in the past renovated and designed two PGA Venues. With a resume that also includes the creation of many of the best resort, daily-fee, public and private courses worldwide, the firm has the experience and the vision to reinvigorate The Courses at Watter's Creek, inspiring new players and again capturing the heart of golfers in North Texas and the Allen and Plano communities.
