DALLAS PULSE CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH IN THEIR INAUGURAL SEASON

The Dallas PULSE are headed to the postseason in their inaugural season after Dallas (17-6) swept the Omaha Supernovas (11-13) in straight sets on Sunday afternoon, 25-21, 25-21, 25-22. The win marked the PULSEs seventh sweep of the season and added to the momentum of a team that continues to show why it has become one of Major League Volleyballs most dangerous contenders.

I dont think we couldve asked for a better start to the season in our first year as a franchise, said Shannon Winzer, Head Coach for Dallas PULSE. When we first came together as a team, we said the beauty of this year is we have no past, only beginnings, so lets make our mark on the league. And were doing just that. But our job is far from done, so for now we want to celebrate having clinched a spot in finals but stay in the trenches working to get better.

During the Omaha match, Dallas PULSE showed the balance that has made this team so difficult to defend. The PULSE was powered by another standout performance from outside hitters Mimi Colyer and Sofia Maldonado Diaz, who delivered the kind of one-two punch that has become a defining strength for the PULSE all season. Veteran setter Natalia Valentin-Andersons leadership and steady presence helped the PULSE hit .320 for the match, the ninth time this season the team has eclipsed a .300 hitting percentage. Kylie Murr continues to anchor the defense and is one of the leading passers in the MLV.

The 2026 Major League Volleyball Championship will be held on the PULSE home court at Comerica Center in Frisco, on Thursday, May 7 with the title match on Saturday, May 9. Park Place Lexus Plano recognized Frisco Independent School District Teachers of the Year, Cassidy Dorain and Katie Ryan. Dorain, an elementary teacher at Scott Elementary School, was named Elementary Teacher of the Year, while Ryan, a teacher at Heritage High School, was honored as Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The two Frisco ISD teachers were offered their choice to drive a Lexus NX or ES for the 2026 summer, deluxe detail and tank of gas for the winners vehicle, two tickets to a Texas Rangers game with a parking pass and access to the Lexus Lounge that includes an all you can eat buffet and drinks of choice. Four Dallas PULSE Players Win Fan Vote To Earn Spot's In MLV's All-Star Match In Orlando

Dallas PULSE players Mimi Colyer, Natalia Valentin-Anderson, Sofia Maldonado Diaz, Layne Van Buskirk, and Kaitlyn Hord (alternate) have been selected to compete in the Major League Volleyballs 2026 AdventHealth MLV All-Star Match. The selections were chosen by combination of fan voting and league selection.

These Dallas PULSE favorites have the opportunity to compete on a national stage, highlighting the rise of professional volleyball in the North Texas sports landscape. The All-Star Match will take place Saturday, March 28 at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida and will be broadcast on CBS Network Television and Paramount+ at Noon ET.

In our first year in the MLV, its an honor to have four athletes named to the All-Star teams, along with one alternate, Kaitlyn Hord. Each of these athletes is incredibly deserving, having performed at the top of their positions throughout the season so far, said Dallas PULSE Head Coach Shannon Winzer. This level of recognition in our first season also reflects the depth of talent we have in Dallas, supported by teammates who push and challenge each other every day.

The Dallas PULSE have quickly established themselves as one of the most successful new professional teams in the North Texas sports market.
