The Plano Art Association presents "Explorations 2026", a culminating exhibition that reflects both artistic evolution and a moment of transition for the organization. This exhibition marks the closing chapter of the associations current gallery space and invites audiences to experience a dynamic range of creative experimentation.

Featuring 55 works by a diverse group of local artists, this years exhibition also introduces the Junior Plano Art Association Artists category, highlighting emerging voices and reinforcing the organizations commitment to nurturing creativity across generations.

Guests are invited to attend the reception on Sunday, June 21 from 46 pm, co-hosted by Gaby Pruitt and Stephanie Horne. The reception offers an opportunity to engage with the artists, celebrate innovation in practice, and recognize this years Peoples Choice Award recipients.

Visiting Nurse Association's Meals on Wheels Kids Camp June 8-12, 2026

This summer, the 3rd Annual VNA Meals on Wheels Kids Camp (June 812) is giving children ages 811 a hands-on opportunity to step into the role of volunteerslearning about senior hunger, nutrition, and connection, while helping deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Oak Cliff area.

What makes this unique is the direct interaction: kids arent just learning in a classroomtheyre actively participating in meal delivery routes and seeing firsthand the impact of service in their own community. Campers also take part in hands-on activities that foster empathy and understanding, a fruit and vegetable tasting, and structured physical activity.

Through engaging activities, campers will learn about:

The reality of senior hunger in our community
The importance of good nutrition
Ways to combat social isolation
The value of volunteerism

New this year, were offering flexible scheduling options to better fit families needs:

SPARK! Dallas presents SPARK! City, a first-of-its-kind immersive public art exhibition celebrating Dallas neighborhoods from June 5 through August 30, 2026..

Designed for both Dallas residents and visitors attending this summers international soccer festivities, SPARK! City transforms the venue into a journey through Downtown/Uptown, Deep Ellum, Oak Cliff/Bishop Arts, Vickery Meadow and The Cedars. Each neighborhood is brought to life through original artwork and immersive installations created by students from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Emmett J. Conrad High School, and Dallas artist Erika Bauer.

Guests can explore the history, culture and creative spirit of each neighborhood while also enjoying SPARK!s popular play sculpture areas and Creative Corner. The exhibit is open Saturdays from 10 a.m.3 p.m., Sundays from 15 p.m., and select weekdays from 15 p.m. during FIFA Family Days.

Admission to SPARK! City is $15 for adults and children ages 2 and older and children 0-2 enter for free, with discounts available for teachers, seniors, military personnel, first responders and Museums for All participants. Head to Addison Circle Park June 11-14 for Kick It in Addison a four-day mini-fest and watch party featuring live match screenings, themed entertainment, food, beverages, games and family-friendly activities. The free events will also feature a giant 26x15 video screen.

Each day of Kick It in Addison will feature a unique theme tied to the spirit of the matches and celebration:

Weekend entertainment includes performances by DJ Paliyo, DJ Jayson and singer-songwriter Wade Fence. On Friday, well celebrate Americas 250^th birthday with themed appearances from Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam and Captain America.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase all four days, including beer and wine from Tapvilles mobile taproom. Additional food trucks include Flaming Grill Barbeque, F&F Express Food Truck, Vidorra Food Truck and Mister Softee DFW.
