Three gymnasts from Texas Dynamix Gymnastics in Plano, TX celebrated the conclusion of their season this month at the USA Gymnastics Banquet.

Michelle Chen, a Carrollton 6th grader competed in the Texas State competition along with USA Regionals where she competed against 8 states within the U.S. At her State Competition where the top gymnasts from the state of Texas compete; Michelle Chen placed 1st on Bars with a 9.825, 1st on Beam with a 9.6, 3rd on Floor Exercise with a 9.5 and 2nd All Around with a grand total of 37.725.

Another Texas Dynamix Region 3 Title earner is high school freshman, Gwen Smith. Gwen had an amazing season where she competed in multiple track events for her High School and trained gymnastics each week. At her Regional Competition competing against the top gymnasts amongst 8 states, Gwen placed in the top 10 on Vault and Beam. She placed 1st on Floor with an amazing 9.7 and placed 9th All Around.

Eliza Hark, another level 7 with Texas Dynamix had an amazing 2022 season with multiple 1st place titles on Beam, Bars and All Around. After a long season, Eliza along with her coaches and family made the decision to only compete Beam and Bars at her State competition. While taking 6 weeks off in order to rest her body, Eliza came back to State and placed 1st on Beam and 2nd on Bars out of her entire age group throughout the entire State.

Michelle, Gwen and Eliza are coached by Head Coach Jeremy Crawford and owner Cortnee White. To say that their coaches are beyond proud would be an understatement. “These ladies are beyond talented but above that, they are strong young women who show up every day ready to push their bodies and their minds to their max. To do that each and every day is mentally, physically, and emotionally draining, but all three of these ladies pushed through and finished their seasons out beautifully,” stated Cortnee White.  The philosophy of Texas Dynamix is to “build good humans and great athletes” and these ladies embody that philosophy to the fullest.
