The Junior League of Collin County Brings the World of Polo to Collin County

Junior League Collin County hosts the second annual Lone Star Stomp at Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point, TX

The Junior League of Collin County (JLCC) is proud to host the second annual Lone Star Stomp at the Prestonwood Polo Club in Oak Point, TX on April 25, 2015. The spring fundraiser enables the League to support its many community projects and programs as well as its mission to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

The Lone Star Stomp event will feature two polo matches, a divot stomp, raffle prizes, dinner and drinks, as well as extra amenities for VIP ticket holders. The first polo match will begin at 4:00 PM, followed by the Divot Stomp and the second match will begin at 6:00 PM.  Appetizers will be provided throughout the first match and dinner will be served just prior to the second match. A Hat Promenade will also take place.  Female attendees are encouraged to wear their best derby hat and show it off.  Seating will be available for VIP and General Admission ticket holders; however, we also will have available lawn seating and therefore, encourage guests to enjoy the lawn to watch the polo matches and bring a blanket, chair and/or umbrella with them. Attire is classic preppy with boots and flats encouraged.

“The Junior League of Collin County is proud to partner with Prestonwood Polo Club to be able to bring this event to the Collin County area. A polo match is a great way to introduce the community to a new form of entertainment, the Prestonwood Polo Club, and the Junior League of Collin County and the vital work of our community volunteers. We hope that everyone has a chance to come out and enjoy the polo matches, divot stomp, and the rest of the entertainment for the afternoon.” said Angie Adams Sifferman, President 2014-2015 of the Junior League of Collin County.

The gates for Lone Star Stomp will open at 3:30, with the first match beginning at 4:00 PM. Prestonwood Polo & Country Club is located at 525 Yacht Club Rd, Oak Point, TX 75068.
