New Plano Skate Park a Huge Hit

If you haven't been there you're missing it!!! A taste of the California skateboard life has come to Plano. Check out this awesomely cool video recently posted by You Tuber Winn Fuqua.  It gives great aerial views over the latest addition to the Plano Parks and Recreation community on Coit Road between Spring Creek and Legacy.

According to the Plano Parks and Recreation website, Carpenter Park Skate Park is located in the southeast corner of the park and combines popular street-style skating and bowl skating features and has been open for business since early August.

Designed by Newline Skate Parks and built by Dean Construction with SPA Skate Parks, this brand new state of the art skate park features some of the most extensive and unique skate features in all of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Skaters will get to shred in one of the largest bowls in the area as well as various sized ramps, rails, stair sets, and ledges. Skaters may also notice the fitting design of the skate park in a “P” shape resembling the official Plano logo emitting "Plano Pride" from the new project. The City of Plano saw an opportunity to give active skateboarders a place to skate in a safe and monitored area, even giving the project the slogan, “Off the streets…into the park.”

Skateboards, scooters and in-line skates only are permitted.  Stop by 6701 Coit Rd. now to get your inner Tony Hawk on display!
