The 10th Annual Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala presented by Centurion American, welcomed a record breaking crowd at its chic western fundraiser held at Gilley’s Dallas on February 18. This year, thanks to the gala’s overwhelming participation, the organization exceeded its goals to impact the lives of countless children, youth and families through the ministry of Sky Ranch. NFL Dallas Cowboys icon, Hall of Famer and businessman Roger Staubach along with Legendary Rodeo Cowboy Larry Mahan led a virtual Who’s Who of cowboys from the gridiron as well as from the rodeo arena.

Among the sportsmen alongside Staubach were Dallas Cowboys: Tony Dorsett, Nate Newton, Darren Woodson, Doug Donley, Drew Pearson, John Fitzgerald, Don McIlhenny, Timmy Newsome, Tyler Clutts, Rodeo Cowboys: Ted Nuce, Rob Smets, Rope Myers, Jeff Copenhaver, Leon Harrel, Scott Mendes, Bob Logue, Pat Yancey.

The Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala began in 2007 and has been supported by Dallas Cowboys from the football field and Rodeo Cowboys from the arena coming together with individuals, families and businesses to support Sky Ranch.

During the gala, Wendy Lambert and Amy Assiter engaged the audience as entertaining auctioneers.  The Kilgore College Rangerettes served as hostesses, joined by the Duncanville High School Drum Line and the Dyess Air Force Base Honor Guard to post colors. The audience also enjoyed a special performance by Tony Dorsett’s daughter, Mia, who sang the National Anthem.

Guests enjoyed many impressive added attractions for this special 10th anniversary event, including the new gala venue at Gilley’s Dallas and a special performance by Nashville recording artist Blane Howard.

One of the highlights of the evening was the live and silent auction.  Each year, over 300 businesses and families in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area generously donate their services, products, experiences and more to the Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala.

This year, attendees had an opportunity to bid on an array of fabulous prizes and live auction items including a “Sky” blue 1965 Corvette, amazing domestic and international travel packages and once-in-a-lifetime experiences with celebrity cowboys.

“We are very fortunate to have so many servant-leaders in the North Texas community join us at the Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala each year,” said Linda Paulk, Sky Ranch CEO.  “Their unwavering support helps us provide a life-transforming experience in a fun, safe Christ-centered environment where kids can learn, explore and grow into godly character leaders.”
