Windsong Ranch will host the Third Annual Wine & Music Festival in Prosper from Noon to 4 pm this Saturday, October 15.  North Texas Wineries will be pouring a variety of wines while talented local musicians play throughout the day. The festival will also feature food vendors and artisans from the Collin County and Denton County areas.

“This is the third year for us to host the Windsong Wine & Music Festival and each year it gets bigger and better,” said Craig Martin, Founding Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer of Windsong Ranch.  “We’ve almost doubled the number of vineyards and food vendors from last year.  Fall is the perfect time to get outdoors and sample the best vineyards, food and musicians in North Texas.”

Admission is free and open to the public.  Signature wine glasses will be given out at the door to all participants over the age of 21.  Wine tasting tickets will be available for purchase at the wine tents.  Tickets are $1 per taste and $5-$7 per glass. Artisan food vendors and local boutiques will be set up on the event lawn under white tents.

Vineyards represented include Silver Dollar Winery, Fortunata Winery, Big Rock Winery, Grayson Hills Winery, Caudalie Crest, Eden Hill Winery, Dionisio Winery, Lone Star Wine Cellars, Kissing Tree Vineyards, Sloan & Williams Winery and Texas SouthWind Vineyard & Winery. Food vendors include Cousins Main Lobster, Knights of Columbus, The Butcher’s Son, Hannah’s Off the Square, Lean Machine Food Truck, Cajun Tailgators Food Truck and C & J’s Sweet Sno-cones.

Musicians performing on the event lawn are Olivia Millerschin, Big City Outlaw Band and Moving Colors Band.  More information can be found at http://www.windsongwinefestival.com and a video of last year’s wine festival can be seen here.
