Prestonwood Christian Academy 5th Grade American History teacher, Mrs. Regina Bergeron, was recognized on Wednesday as 94.9 KLTY CareNow Teacher of the Month!  Frank Reed from KLTY's The Family-Friendly Morning Show presented Mrs. Bergeron with a special plaque and a bag of wonderful prizes in front of PCA's entire 5th and 6th Grade student body. Mrs. Bergeron was nominated by 6th Grade PCA student, Gabe Gorman, for helping him during a time of need and accepting his invitation to serve as his Godmother.

Mrs. Bergeron has served as a teacher for 29 years, with the last seven years spent at PCA.  She currently teaches 5th Grade American History, however, she has taught every grade level from Kindergarten through 8th, with the exception of 3rd and 4th, and she has instructed in Science, English, Bible, Reading, Math and more!  Mrs. Bergeron also serves as the Director of Summers at Prestonwood (PCA's summer camp program).

Earning a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana), Mrs. Bergeron also holds a Masters from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She attends Prestonwood Baptist Church North and has been a member of Prestonwood Baptist since 2005. Mrs. Bergeron enjoys spending time with her family, including her granddaughter, Bailey Grace!
