Cookie Decorating is one of the most popular craft tables at the annual Advent Workshop at St. Andrew UMC

St. Andrew United Methodist Church invites the community to its annual Advent Workshop on Sunday, November 24, from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Smith Worship Center, 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, 75093.  The evening will feature dinner, crafts, including making keepsake plates, family photos, and four live nativity performances featuring a dramatic representation of the Christmas story with actors, live animals, dancers and music at 4:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6 p.m.

“This fun, family annual event, open to the community, is the perfect way to start the Christmas season,” said Kim Meyers, Minister to Children and Families, St. Andrew United Methodist Church. “You will not want to miss this year’s live nativity which will be a beautiful interpretation of the Christmas story, offered throughout the evening.”

The event is free; dinner $8 for adults; $5 for children; or a $20 family maximum. The make-a-plate craft is $7 per plate. Dinner is sponsored by the United Methodist Men.
