Trinity Christian Academy’s (TCA) student-produced magazine, The Rock, recently won two awards from the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) for its spring 2013 issue.  Judges awarded the magazine 975 out of 1,000 possible points for exceptional content, coverage, organization, design, presentation and creativity at the association’s annual contest for yearbooks, magazines and newspapers.

The Rock, which is published once a year, received a First Place with Special Merit Award, the highest-ranking award possible for the school’s classification. The publication was also named Most Outstanding High School General Magazine for 2013 in its classification, which included private and parochial schools from all over the country.

The spring 2013 issue featured an interview with Miss Texas 2012, TCA alumna DaNae Couch, and was made possible by The Rock’s talented staff. The magazine’s 2012-2013 editorial team was lead by executive editors Evan Black and Katie Langford and managing editors Lexi Coley, Hannah Langford and Lauren Roquemore.
