The Warren Center’s Operation Santa Event Spreads Holiday Cheer to More than 500 Children

The joyous holiday season was celebrated with fervor as The Warren Center unwrapped the return of its much-loved annual event, Operation Santa. Tailored to cater to the unique needs of children and families facing developmental disabilities, this sensory-friendly celebration proved to be a magical experience for all who attended.

This year's Operation Santa had pulled out all the stops, offering an array of delightful activities such as engaging games, festive crafts, and the chance for little ones to meet the one and only Santa Claus! Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm, the event had been extended to ensure that even more families could partake in the festivities. Thanks to community partners at Credit Union of Texas, which had graciously provided a complimentary lunch for all attendees. Additionally, Dutch Bro's Coffee was on hand to spread warmth with servings of hot cocoa and coffee throughout the day.

Attendees enjoyed an enchanting day as the DFW Avengers made a special appearance, mingling with families and creating picture-perfect moments. With over 500 children and their families in attendance, Operation Santa created lasting memories and spread holiday joy to all who joined in the celebration.

Recognizing the distinctive challenges encountered by the families it supports, where over 70 percent reside beneath Texas' poverty line, The Warren Center's Operation Santa event is dedicated to providing a stress-free holiday experience for these families. The nonprofit has meticulously crafted a safe, sensory-friendly environment, guaranteeing that children with developmental disabilities and their families can thoroughly enjoy the enchantment of the season.

The Warren Center is a nonprofit agency providing professional evaluations, therapy services and support to children with developmental delays and disabilities.
