The Winston School Speaker Series

Have you ever said to your child, “You posted what?”  Posting the wrong thing on a social media sight can cost your child their prospects for college and future employment.  College admission directors and employers often go to a prospect's Facebook account to see what they have posted, so learn how to prevent your child from making this costly mistake.  The Winston School Speaker Series presents “Understanding How to Use Social Media and the Internet from a Dyslexic Perspective” September 30 at 7 p.m.  The school is located at 5707 Royal Lane.  The public is invited to attend.

Guest speaker, Tiffany Sunday, will talk about students and social media.  Her new book, "You Posted What!? How to Help Your Teen Use Social Media to Gain an Advantage for College and Future Employment" is an essential resource for families and schools.  Tiffany writes and speaks about the Digital Revolution.  She helps groups and individuals understand how the world is rapidly changing, and then offers advice on how to adapt to the New Digital World.  Her book You Posted What!?, discusses how teens and young adults are using educational technology and social media to gain an advantage for college and employment.  Teens can harness the positive power of social media to improve their prospects for college and future employment by using her strategies, action plans and wealth of online resources.

The book will be available to purchase at the end of the evening.
