Collin Creek Mall announces that applications for A+ Rewards for the 2014-15 school year are now being accepted and must be received by the shopping center by September 12. Public and private schools in the Plano and Richardson school districts are eligible to enroll in A+ Rewards, the shopping center’s community program that awards $20,000 in cash to participating schools over the course of a school year.


A+ REWARDS offers schools two different ways to receive cash rewards:

  • A+ HONOR ROLL: Schools earning as few as 100 total points in a six-week grading period will be entered in a random drawing for $1,000 cash. A $1,000 prize will be awarded to a qualifying school during the first five grading periods. 
  • END-OF-YEAR AWARDS: Schools also compete with each other for the highest accumulation of points during the 2014-15 school year to earn a share of the remaining $15,000 cash reward. The three schools with the most points will split the $15,000 cash, including $7,500 for first place; $5,000 for second place; and $2,500 for third place.


Collin Creek Mall launched A+ Rewards in 2010 [formerly known as My School’s Cool] and since its inception, the shopping center has gifted area schools with $90,000 in cash prizes. Each participating school signs a pledge committing to program participation. The pledge promotes honesty and accountability on the part of the participating schools.


This year, the program has been updated to give schools an opportunity to earn points not only for shopping in the mall, but also for a variety of extra credit items such as campus-initiated community service projects, participation in mall events, in-school bulletin boards, Facebook participation and more. Total points earned by a participating school will be divided by student enrollment in order to allow all schools, regardless of enrollment, to compete fairly.

The deadline for schools to enroll in A+ Rewards is Friday, September 12, 2014. Receipts dated Friday, August 1, 2014 through Monday, May 11, 2015 can be redeemed for points. Application forms can be picked up in the Mall Management Office, located on the upper level near the Food Court.
