PCA Senior Twayne Blackwell signed a Letter of Intent with University of Central Oklahoma.

Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCA) honored Senior Twayne Blackwell of McKinney today who signed a Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Central Oklahoma next year.

“I am incredibly proud of Twayne and excited about his opportunity to play football on the next level at the University of Central Oklahoma,” said PCA’s Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, Chris Cunningham. “I know he is going to have a positive impact both on and off the field next year.”

In Blackwell’s junior year as starting quarterback and senior year as starting receiver, he went 146 of 222 passing for 1,814 yards and 25 touchdowns; 42 receptions for 427 yards and two touchdowns; 146 carries for 794 yards and seven touchdowns. Named a Team Captain his senior year, Blackwell helped lead the team to two consecutive state championship appearances with a 22–6 overall record in the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Blackwell was named 2nd Team All-District in 2013.

Prestonwood Christian Academy has more than 1,600 students enrolled at three campuses: Plano (Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 12th grade), PCA North in Prosper (Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 5th grade) and PCAplus Virtual Academy.  The school has been recognized as having one of the strongest Christian education programs in the country providing intentional biblical worldview training and integration.
