Jasper High School Prepares Parents For Student Drivers

For high school students, turning 16 and obtaining a driver's license is like a rite of passage. It's a cause for excitement for students and a sense of dread for parents. However, it doesn't have to make parents fearful. Jasper High School, one of the several high schools in Plano that deals with brand new student drivers, is holding a presentation for parents to prepare them for their student drivers.

The presentation, hosted by the Jasper PTSA, is called "Getting Ready For Your Teenager to Drive" and will be held in the Jasper High School Presentation Room on Tuesday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m. A Plano police officer and Cindy Garrison from PISD Family Education and Guidance will be leading the presentation.

This informative program will touch upon a number of issues, including generic items for each family to local driving restrictions for teens. An example of a Driving Contract will be distributed as well. This is one presentation that parents with high school teens shouldn't miss out on.
