If you’re looking for a four-legged friend, there’s no better time than now to adopt.  Collin County Animal Services are urging local residents to adopt shelter animals, as their facilities are overflowing.

The Collin County Animal Shelter, like many other North Texas shelters and humane societies, is in a constant attempt to become a no-kill shelter.  With the continuous influx of dogs and cats into the shelter with few being adopted, it is often difficult for these shelters to remain no-kill locations.

Animals can be adopted directly from the Collin County Animal Shelter.  There is no adoption fee, but those who choose to adopt a pet must have the animal spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.

For more information on pet rescue or how you can help the Collin County Animal Shelter, please visit the Collin County Animal Services website or the Collin County Animal Services volunteer Facebook page.
