If your male kitty has a new twinkle in his eyes for the ladies, then sign him up today for nickel neutering at the
Plano Animal Shelter.

On Thursday, Feb. 21, the Shelter will celebrate Spay Day USA by neutering 100 cats for a nickel each. Participating cats must have an appointment. All cats must be delivered in a pet carrier labeled with the owner’s name. Owners must provide written proof of the cat’s current rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, which if needed can be administered for $9.95 for one shot or $19.95 for both.

Microchip implantation will also be available for an additional $15 fee per cat. Plano residents will be required to register their cats with the City’s Animal Services Division for $10 or $5 if the owner is a senior citizen or has proof of being low-income.

Please visit www.petdata.com to get more information about the requirements for pet registration in the City of Plano.

Spay Day USA originated through the Doris Day Animal Foundation and is now an annual campaign by The Humane Society of the United States. Neutering and spaying is essential to reducing pet overpopulation. Do your part – spay or neuter your cat.

The Plano Animal Shelter is located at 4028 W. Plano Parkway. To make an appointment or to get more
details, please call 972-769-4374.
