TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation is set for the 14th Annual III Forks Golf Classic on May 6 – 7 at III Forks Steakhouse and Gleneagles Country Club. The two-day event will raise awareness and funds for TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation’s efforts to find a cure for childhood cancers.

Peter Millar, one of the fastest growing brands in the lifestyle apparel market, partnered with the foundation for a kick off event at the Plano store, which opened in June 2017.

“We are proud to join our North Texas business leaders, friends, and family to support TeamConnor by donating our time and money to increase awareness of childhood cancer types, treatments and resources for coping,” said Scott Freeman, Peter Millar Store Manager. “We are grateful for the opportunity to give back and become more involved in our local community.”

Peter Millar at Legacy West hosted the III Forks Golf Classic Patron Reception on April 12 featuring models dressed in Peter Millar’s modern flair, promotional giveaways, culinary specialties from III Forks Steakhouse and celebratory sips.

Every year, more than 12,500 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children, yet the budget of the National Cancer Institute allocates less than four percent of its funds to pediatric cancer research. TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding research and treatment programs to find a cure for all childhood cancers.

“We are appreciative of companies like Peter Millar who will partner with us to raise awareness about childhood cancer,” said Kathryn Copple, executive director of TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation. “Peter Millar’s mission is to create clothing that adds possibility to every day, which aligns perfectly with TeamConnor’s mission to fund research for children battling cancer in hopes of giving them another day.”
