The purpose of the Citizen's Government Academy is to educate Plano residents about the basic functions of municipal government in an interactive environment. The program will provide a civics primer as well as current and relevant information.

There is no charge to participate in this six-session program scheduled every other Thursday evening over a twelve-week period. The program is offered both in the spring and fall of each year. Session topics include: Where It All Begins, Building a City, Who Ya Gonna Call?, A Day In My Life, Community Building and Into Tomorrow.

The spring class of the Plano Citizens Government Academy is now accepting applications. This free program is open to residents and provides an education about the role and functions of your local government. The course begins January 17 and meets six Thursdays over twelve weeks.
