Victory Line performance Campers perform with the Planoettes Victory Line prior to the game.

Plano Senior High’s Planoettes invite all dancers in grades K-8 to attend this year’s Planoettes Dance Camp that will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Plano Senior High Gym.

Campers will enjoy a fun-filled day of dance with the Plano Senior High School Planoettes as their counselors.  The day will consist of learning drill team fundamentals and working with their own age group to learn a dance.  Campers will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the Planoettes, and the day will end with a parent show-off performance.

This is the sixth year the Planoettes have hosted this clinic, and it is one of the highlights of the year for the team.  Co-President Kayla McFall agrees, “It's so awesome to see the enthusiasm and potential in future generations of Planoettes!”

All who attend the camp will have the opportunity to perform with the Planoettes at the Plano vs. McKinney game on October 12, 2012 at Clark Stadium.  Madeline Prince, an attendee last year, said, “I thought the camp was really fun and I learned some fun dance moves.  Performing with the Planoettes at the football game was really exciting!  It made me want to be a Planoette someday.” Visit planoettes.org for a registration form.  Registration will be accepted in advance or beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the clinic.

The Planoettes drill team of Plano Senior High School is made up of nearly 80 junior and senior girls and the Maroon Guard.  The team is led by Director Meredith Walraven and Assitant Directors Lindsay Placke and Jennifer Janak.  For more information, visit planoettes.org.
