Plano-Richardson Alumnae Panhellenic Celebrates 2020 Scholarships

Plano-Richardson Alumnae Panhellenic (PRAP) announces the award of four $1,000 scholarships to North Texas young women.  The recipients, Lindsey Bolding, Sydney Buehrig, Avery DeWolf, and Cadey Moore, were honored last week with “drive-by” celebrations.  Due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, PRAP members paraded by in decorated cars followed by a brief presentation outside of each recipient’s home, in lieu of the organization’s customary scholarship event.

PRAP scholarships are awarded based on extracurricular involvement, leadership, community service, and academic excellence.  “We were fortunate to receive a large number of outstanding applications this year, which made the selection process very competitive.  We are extremely proud of this year’s scholarship recipients,” said Diane Goebel, Scholarship Chairman.

Cadey Moore attends the University of Texas at Austin where she is pursuing a BBA in Business Honors and Management Information Systems.  She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority where has she served as VP of Membership and Recruitment Captain, Recruitment Strategy Head, and the Academic Excellence Committee Business School Representative.  Cadey is a 2017 graduate of Plano West Senior High School and is the daughter of Chris and Shawne Moore of Dallas.

Lindsey Bolding is a 2020 graduate of Plano Senior High and is the daughter of John and Catherine Bolding of Plano.  She will attend Texas A&M University, majoring in Engineering.

Sydney Buehrig will study Biology at the University of Texas at Austin with plans to pursue medical school.  She graduated from JJ Pearce High School in 2020 and is the daughter of Jeff and Kristin Buehrig of Dallas.

Avery DeWolf is a 2020 Plano West Senior High graduate and will major in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University.  She is the daughter of Scott and Shannon DeWolf of Plano.

“The PRAP scholarship is a wonderful opportunity to support the educational goals of these accomplished young women,” said 2019-2020 PRAP President Fran McQuirter, “and our dedicated members truly enjoy promoting Greek life through the fundraising events that make these scholarships possible.”
