NATIONAL CHARITY LEAGUE, INC., NORTH DALLAS CHAPTER ANNOUNCES ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Mothers with Daughters Currently in Sixth through Eighth Grade are Eligible for Membership
Dallas, Texas (October 8, 2019) – The North Dallas Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, has announced its Annual Membership Drive and has begun accepting applications from women with daughters currently in 6th through 8th grade. The North Dallas Chapter is comprised of nearly 190 members who reside in North Dallas.
“We are excited for the opportunity to welcome new mothers and daughters into our Chapter as we continue to create life-long philanthropists who graciously serve the community,” said Kim Knights, North Dallas Chapter President.
North Dallas Chapter mother-daughter teams volunteered just under 5700 philanthropy hours in the 2018-2019 year for 17 philanthropic organizations in the community. They were recently recognized by the MS Society as The Best Rest Stop for the 2018-2019 Frisco MS 150.
The NCL Experience inspires and empowers women to succeed as confident, well-rounded and socially aware contributors to society. The chapter’s mission is to foster mother-daughter relationships through a six-year core program committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
Membership Drive Details include:
- Timeline: Applications for membership are only accepted during the Annual Membership Drive from October 1st to January 15th each year.
- Eligibility: A prospective member shall reside within the North Dallas area and have a daughter currently in 6th through 8th grade.
- Prospective Member Meeting: Interested mothers are encouraged to attend one of the prospective member meetings. To receive an invitation, please contact the Chapter at membershipnorthdallas@nclonline.org
- Applications: Completed applications are due by January 15th, 2020.
A sampling of North Dallas philanthropy partners include: Arthritis Foundation, Plano Family Literacy, Friday Nite Friends, Frisco Family Services, The Storehouse of Collin County, Shoes for Orphan Souls, Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen, TangoTab Feed The City and several others.
Leadership Development is fostered through mentorship and by having opportunities to engage in experiences that build essentials skills, such as confidence, consensus and team building, event planning, conflict resolution and parliamentary procedure.
Cultural experiences are provided through events such as an annual Mother/Daughter Chapter Tea, Jr. Style Show Presentation and Sr. Presentation.
