Because the campus is more than 700,000 square feet, police estimate that the search could continue until 3 or 4 p.m. At the current time, Collin College plans to reopen Spring Creek Campus for classes at 5 p.m. unless the canine unit discovers any cause for concern.

This morning, at 10:00 a.m., Collin College's Spring Creek Campus in Plano received another bomb threat and sent out a CougarAlert to all students, staff and faculty to evacuate the campus immediately. Plano Police and Fire are on scene assisting the Collin County Community College Police Department.

According to Lisa Vasquez, vice president of PR and campus development, a call was received from a male saying that there was a bomb on the campus.

Last Thursday, February 21, the Spring Creek campus library was evacuated due to a bomb threat received at 8:44 a.m. All students and faculty members cleared the library so that police could search the building. The school later reported that there was no bomb and police were finished with their search. Everyone on campus was informed that classes would resume. The library also reopened for the day.

No further details about the origin of the second threat are available at this time. BubbleLife will continue to monitor its status.
