In this day and age, it is important to protect your privacy and the confidentiality of anyone you do business with. Personal records, financial statements and old bills, customer records, health information, patient records, and business documents need to be disposed in a safe and secure way.

This, however, can be time consuming and expensive. The PSHS Wildcat Wrestling Booster Club and Cut2 Shreds, a secure, mobile document destruction and paper shredding company, has a great solution for you -- and also for any businesses.

The Plano Senior High Wrestling Booster Club, made up of athletes and families from Plano Senior High School and the feeder Clark and Vines High Schools, will be holding their Spring Shred and E-Waste Recycle fundraiser day on Saturday, March 23 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at PSHS (rain or shine).

For suggested donations of $10 for the first box, and $5 for any others (of course, any other donations above and beyond are very much appreciated), the Plano Wrestlers and Cut2Shreds employees will transfer your heavy boxes directly into bins, which then dump the contents into the shredding machines while you wait. You don’t even have to get out of your car -- unless you want to watch on the monitor while your documents are destroyed.

“This event is designed to effectively address a public need, and offers a substantial savings for shredding services," explains John Yarrow, Booster Club President.  "In turn, it helps us address significant needs and support a top-notch wrestling program in Plano."

The PSHS Wrestling “mat-backers” are adding another service to their semi-annual event by offering electronic waste recycling for old computers, monitors, printers, phones of all types, kitchen appliances, lamps, televisions and VCRs, cameras, fax machines, vacuum cleaners and gaming equipment. If you aren’t sure, then bring it by!

The affordable suggested donations are $5 for less than 10 pounds, $10 for less than 25 pounds or $15 for less than 50 pounds. Hard drives can be wiped for $20 and there is a hazardous material surcharge for old style TV tubes and monitors.

“The Booster Club is happy that the Spring Shred and E-waste Recycling Day supports the ‘green’ movement, which is important for our environment," said Yarrow. "All of the electronics and paper shredded is recycled. The boys perform a community service and benefit from what it provides for their athletic program. It is a ‘win-win’ situation, in all aspects of the operation!”

The school is located at 2200 Independence Pkwy. at the corner of Independence and Park Boulevard in Plano. The event will be set up on the southeast corner parking lot of the PSHS campus. Enter the big parking lot from Park Boulevard.
