Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) freshman, Jack Mueller, has won first place in the 106-pound weight class at the National Prep Wrestling Championship at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Jack is TCA's first National Champion wrestler. Jack also set a wrestling record by winning 52 matches in a season. In the finals, Jack defeated Ethan McCoy of The Kiski School (Pennsylvania) in overtime by a score of 15-13 to win the championship.

Also at Prep Nationals, senior captain Will Turner earned his 100th career win by pinning Brian Farrell of Fishburne Military School (Virginia) in the consolation round. His win makes Will the newest member of the Trojan Wrestling Century Club.

TCA's wrestling team finished in 18th place overall out of more than 300 teams at the National Prep Championship. This is the highest finish ever by a TCA wresting team. In addition to Jack and Will, the wrestlers contributing to this high placement were junior captain Ross Lopez, sophomore Kahler Martin, senior Stathi Pakes and sophomore Joey Tkach.
