Classic Car & Truck Show Kicks Off 2019 Castle Hills Village Shops Events

It’s time to get revved up for all of the family-friendly 2019 events at the Castle Hills Village Shops! This year’s calendar kicks off with a neighborhood favorite: the Spring Classic Car & Truck Show on Sunday, April 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All of the Village Shops events take place at the Castle Hills Village Shops, located at 2560 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake Blvd. in the Castle Hills community. You don’t have to be a resident to enjoy these events; everyone is welcome!

The car show is FREE for spectators and will feature the area’s finest hot rods, classic cars and trucks, several with the latest technology, from Time Machine Car Shows. Admission is free for spectators; those wishing to show off their wheels can pay a $10 entry fee and be eligible to win “best car” awards in categories such as Castle Hills Pick, ’79 and older car and truck, ‘80s and newer car and truck, and People’s Choice. Those interested in showing cars can get more information from Ray at 940-367-1798 or ray@TimeMachineCarShows.com.

Also on the calendar for 2019 is the Castle Hills Spring Concert Series. This series features Texas Flood, a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute and blues band on Saturday, May 4, and Derek Spence, a George Strait tribute concert, on Saturday, June 15. The annual July 4th Freedom Festival is Wednesday, July 4; the Fall Classic Car & Truck Show is Sunday, September 22; the Art & Wine Walk, which features wine-tasting and works from local artists, is Thursday, September 19; the Fall Festival is Saturday, October 26; and Holiday in the Plaza is Saturday, November 30. All of the events in the Village Shops are free and concessions are available for purchase.

The Village Shops is a one-acre-plus site featuring tree-shaded walkways, gardens and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain and shaded outdoor seating. Bring the entire family and enjoy food and drinks at one of the many Village Shops restaurants and eateries like Sophia’s Kitchen, which offers coffee, lattes and muffins; the London Baker, which has teas, scones and pastries; TBD Kitchen, which is popular for its street and “posh” tacos; PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery, which has stellar pizza; and The Salty Cow, which offers artisan cheese boards.

This year’s Castle Hills Village Shops event sponsors are Bright Realty and the City of Lewisville.
