During most of August, Capital One Financial Services and Capital One Bank associates in the Dallas area conducted a back-to-school supply drive benefitting students in Dallas and Collin counties. Altogether, the associates collected more than $100,000 worth of school supplies.

The drive benefits youth served by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County, Communities in School-Dallas Region, Girls Inc., Plano ISD, and The Samaritan Inn.

Capital One divisions and branches in the region competed to see which area could collect the most school supplies. Capital One’s Royal Ridge location ranked first and, as a result, the company made another donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County.

“At Capital One, we believe that a quality education is the most important determinant of future success, and this school supply drive is one of many educational programs and initiatives we support in the region throughout the year,” said Capital One Collin County/North Texas Market President David Haufler. “Our associates take pride in supporting local schools. “I’m proud of the commitment to community our associates displayed during this drive. It is our hope that the supplies we donated will help to equip local students for success this school year and beyond.”

Capital One Financial Services Division and Capital One Bank associates participated in the back-to-school supply drive, and the company more than doubled its goal of collecting $50,000 in supplies.
