If you have concern about these issues, come join the St. Jude Career Alliance at its comprehensive, faith-based job search workshop on Saturday, October 8, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue in Allen. There is no charge for this job search workshop, which is open to all people of any faith, ethnicity, age, etc. Everyone is welcome!
This FREE Job Search Workshop defines what do, how to do it, when to do it, and why. The all-day Saturday program includes a complimentary copy of The Campion Way 2.0: Land in 4 to 8 Weeks, the career development guide on which the workshop is based. A complimentary lunch, drinks, and snacks are also included.
This job search workshop will have four main sections, called Experiences; two Experiences will be presented in the morning and two Experiences will be presented in the afternoon:
- Experience #1: Confidence – Honest Self-Audit
- Experience #2: Control – Target Companies/Selling Resume
- Experience #3: Cultivating Champions – Networking
- Experience #4: Conversational Interviews
“Each of us has a ‘toolbox’ which contains our God-given talents, interests, and experiences, etc. The information in these toolboxes will enable each participant to market themselves by differentiation, “said Greg Mechler, volunteer coordinator. “The Career Alliance workshop is designed to be an effective, comprehensive job search system that enables job seekers to see the entire program at once. Our workshop provides a complete job search action plan model on what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and why.
However, Mr. Mechler stressed that the Career Alliance job search workshops are not designed just for people looking to land a new job in 4 to 8 weeks. The Career Alliance has also identified two other groups that would benefit from attending these free job search workshops:
- People who want to ascertain the next steps they need to take to get a promotion and/or achieve their overall career goals
- People who are looking to do a career shift, but are not sure just where to begin
The Career Alliance offers these job search workshops once each quarter. The October 8 workshop will be followed by a similar workshop on:

The October 8 comprehensive job search workshop will take place in the Lecture Hall on the St. Jude parish campus, 1515 North Greenville Avenue in Allen. Participants should park in the northeast parking lot on Greenville Avenue, enter through the church office doors, and follow the signs inside to the Lecture Hall location.
