It’s August and there’s no better way to celebrate the dog days of summer than by adopting a homeless dog. On Saturday, August 10 at Collin Creek Mall, the Richardson Humane Society will be at the shopping center from 1 to 4 p.m., offering homeless animals that are available for adoption. Interested individuals can see the animals in Center Court and start the process.

Each dog is neutered, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm tested and treated if necessary; and started on heartworm preventative. All potential adopters must be 21 years or older. The organization conducts a home visit before the adoption is approved. Adoption fees, payable in cash or by check to RHS, are $150 for dogs and $100 for cats. The adoption fee for senior pets is $75.

Future dates when the Richardson Humane Society adoption volunteers will be Collin Creek Mall are Saturdays, September 14 and October 12.

Richardson Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization that has rescued and found homes for more than 1,900 pets since 2000. RHS is a registered 501(c) 3 Non Profit Texas corporation dedicated to helping homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership.
