Plano Metropolitan Ballet Presents: Aladdin


PLANO, Texas - Celebrating 35 years of presenting original fairy tale ballets, Plano Metropolitan Ballet (PMB) returns to the stage to present Aladdin at the Courtyard Theater in Plano, Texas, January 7-22, 2022. 


The family-friendly ballet features the story of Aladdin, a man whose dreams are far greater than his reality until a chance meeting with Agrabah’s princess, Jasmine. The endearing story, told by talented pre-professional dancers and accompanied by innovative choreography and glittering costumes, is bound to leave audiences on their feet. 


“It has been 2 years since we danced together as a whole company in a full length ballet,” Cindi Lawrence Hanson shared, “I am so pleased with the remarkable skill of our dancers, and know that they are over the moon to be returning to the stage with Aladdin.”

ABOUT PLANO METROPOLITAN BALLET: Plano Metropolitan Ballet (PMB) is a 501(C)-3 non-profit ballet company in Plano, Texas, established 1987 as an opportunity for dancers ages 10-18 to perform at the pre-professional level. In addition to presenting annual, original fairy tale ballets, PMB performs at many community events and festivals, as well as hosting the annual Plano Dance Festival (recently renamed Dance Plano!), a showcase of professional dancers and companies from throughout the DFW metroplex. Under the artistic direction of Cindi Lawrence Hanson, PMB rehearses at its home studio, Gotta Dance, in Plano, providing dancers with a quality, classical ballet education in addition to a variety of other training offerings. 


For four consecutive years, Plano Metropolitan Ballet has been voted “Best Way to Get Artsy in Plano” by Plano Magazine readers.
