Plano East Senior High School Baseball will honor servicemen and women and first responders at 7 p.m. Friday, April 30. All area servicemen and women and first responders are invited to attend as guests of the Plano East Baseball Booster Club. The JROTC Plano East Panther Color Guard, led by SGM (RET) Anthony W. Henry, Army JROTC Instructor, will present the Colors before the game.

Guests will be recognized on the field before the 7:30 p.m. varsity game against district opponent Flower Mound Marcus. One guest will be selected in a random drawing to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Please RSVP to david@aardvarktx.com or 972-423-4144.

“We’re honored to recognize these brave men and women who sacrifice so much to protect our families and our freedoms,” said Plano East Head Baseball Coach Jordan Byrd. “It’s important that our young people see who the true leaders are. Our program is about more than just winning games. We’re charged with helping to develop tomorrow’s leaders.” 

Other special recognition nights at Plano East for the 2021 season include Feeder School Night Friday, April 16, with a special appearance by Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere, and Senior Recognition Night Tuesday, April 20.

Following COVID protocols, tickets to Plano East baseball games should be purchased online through the website at www.pisd.edu/Page/23044

Currently all spectators must wear a face covering and be able to answer “NO” to the COVID screening questions in order to enter. Spectators will be expected to maintain social distancing between other groups or individuals.
