On two Saturdays in September, Collin Creek Mall is reaching out to help potential pet owners connect with homeless dogs from area animal shelters. Interested individuals are invited to stop by the shopping center and find a pet to adopt on Saturdays, September 14 and 28.

• SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 FROM 1 TO 4 P.M. – RICHARDSON HUMANE SOCIETY. Each dog and cat is neutered, micro chipped, current on shots, heartworm tested and treated if necessary; and started on heartworm preventative. All potential adopters must be 21 years or older. The organization conducts a home visit before the adoption is approved. Adoption fees, payable in cash or by check to RHS, are $150 for dogs and $100 for cats. The adoption fee for senior pets is $75.

• SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 FROM 1 TO 6 P.M. – COLLIN COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY. Each dog is spayed/neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated for rabies and other diseases, heartworm tested and treated. Home and veterinarian checks are needed prior to adoption and applicants must sign a contract. Adoption fees range from $75 to $250, depending on the age of the dog. Fees are payable by cash, check or PayPal.

Richardson Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization that has rescued and found homes for more than 1,900 pets since 2000.
