Orphan Outreach Children's Hope Dinner Raises More than $500,000 for Vulnerable Children

DALLAS - Orphan Outreach raised more than $500,000 for orphaned and vulnerable children it serves in nine countries worldwide at its Children’s Hope Dinner on May 3, 2022. The event held at AT&T Stadium featured ministry partner, Tim Tebow as a guest speaker, and Scott Hanson, host of NFL RedZone, as master of ceremonies.

More than 650 guests came together to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Orphan Outreach and honor co-founder Mike Douris, with the newly named Mike Douris Award, for his more than 50 years of advocacy for vulnerable children. The Children’s Hope Dinner provides urgently needed funds that support Orphan Outreach’s worldwide programs that serve thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children by providing educational, emotional, physical, and spiritual care.

Since its inception, the Children’s Hope Dinner has raised more than $3 million for children in need, and Orphan Outreach has restored hope to more than 110,000 vulnerable children and families around the world.

The 2022 event was chaired by Eraina and Bryan Larson. Jimmy Westcott, a Dallas philanthropist, founded the Children’s Hope Dinner in 2014 after traveling to Russia on a mission trip with Orphan Outreach and felt inspired to mobilize people in Dallas and the Metroplex to provide hope to the least fortunate.
