Here’s a moment of merriment that’s fun for the whole family: adoptable cats and dogs, dressed in holiday outfits, from the Richardson Humane Society will walk the red carpet at Collin Creek Mall on Saturday, December 6. Volunteers will showcase adoptable animals on the lower level in Center Court from 12 to 3 p.m. As a special treat, at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., the cats and dogs, outfitted in red and green, walk the runway hoping to entice interested someone to fall in love and adopt a new pet.

Each animal is neutered, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm tested and treated if necessary; and started on heartworm preventative. All potential adopters must be 21 years or older. The organization conducts a home visit before the adoption is approved. Adoption fees, payable in cash or by check to RHS, are $150 for dogs and $100 for cats. The adoption fee for senior pets is $75.

Collin Creek Mall features over 130 specialty shops, three department stores including JCPenney, Macy’s and Sears, plus numerous eateries and Amazing Jake’s. The shopping center is conveniently located at US 75 Central Expressway and 190 Bush Turnpike. Follow Collin Creek Mall at www.facebook.com/CollinCreekMall or on twitter at @shopcollincreek.
