On Saturday, August 2, Collin Creek Mall celebrates the dog [and cat] days of summer by hosting the Richardson Humane Society pet adoption booth. Volunteers will be in Center Court at the shopping center from 12 to 3 p.m. with a variety of cats and dogs that are available for adoption by qualified individuals.

Each animal is neutered, microchipped, current on shots, heartworm tested and treated if necessary; and started on heartworm preventative. All potential adopters must be 21 years or older. The organization conducts a home visit before the adoption is approved. Adoption fees, payable in cash or by check to RHS, are $150 for dogs and $100 for cats. The adoption fee for senior pets is $75.

Richardson Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization that has rescued and found homes for more than 2,000 pets since 2000. RHS is a registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit Texas corporation dedicated to helping homeless animals and educating the community on responsible pet ownership.
