Since August 2013, 15 area schools have participated in Collin Creek Mall’s A+ Rewards, a community program that awards cash prizes to participating schools. The schools earned points throughout the 2013-14 school year with each of the participating schools sharing in $20,000 in cash prizes.
The top point earners for 2013-14 include:

- Hickey Elementary School - $1,762.07
- Otto Middle School - $1,040.78

- Armstrong Middle School - $482.07
- Schimelpfenig Middle School - $445.31
- Pearson Pre-K - $415.79
- Draper Intermediate School - $357.80
- Matthews Elementary School - $195.73
- Akin Elementary School - $192.62
- Williams High School - $129.45
- Plano East Senior High School (PEHS) - $70.42
Collin Creek Mall launched A+ Rewards in 2010 [formerly known as My School’s Cool] and since its inception, the shopping center has gifted area schools with $80,000 in cash prizes.
Public and private schools near Collin Creek Mall are eligible to enroll in A+ Rewards. Each participating school signs a pledge committing to program participation. The pledge promotes honesty and accountability on the part of the participating schools. Each school earns rewards based on Collin Creek Mall receipts turned in on behalf of their school and through a variety of extra-credit opportunities. A complete list of guidelines and school eligibility requirements are available in the Collin Creek Mall office. Prizes totaling $20,000 are awarded to the schools with the most points per student. Total points earned by a participating school will be divided by student enrollment in order to allow all schools, regardless of their size, to compete fairly.
Registration for the 2014-15 school year is now open for public and private schools in the Plano and Richardson school districts. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
