In a remarkable expression of unity, four former Plano Mayors, Florence Shapiro, James Muns, Pat Evans and Phil Dyer today announced their endorsement of conservative Glenn Callison, Republican candidate to succeed Van Taylor as State Representative of Texas House District 66, the area including West Plano and parts of North Dallas and Carrollton.

Callison, a proven tax fighter and successful businessman, was CEO of a firm named one of the “Top Places to Work” in DFW. He has staked the success of his campaign on limited government, low taxes and fighting the spread of over-reaching regulations, like ObamaCare.

“I’m honored to have the support of our area’s great community leaders,” said Callison. “Their record on building an 'All-American' city while keeping taxes low, creating jobs and improving public safety is unparalleled.”

In the March 4 Primary Election, Callison garnered an impressive 40 percent of the district’s conservative votes and earned a coveted spot in the May 27 Republican Runoff for the Texas House.

These endorsements join a formidable list of Callison supporters, including pro-life group Texas Alliance for Life, Texas Association of Business, Texas Association of REALTORS©, the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, the Plano and Dallas Police Associations, and the Dallas Morning News. Callison also has an “A” rating from the NRA and enjoys support from numerous local job creators and leaders.

The runoff election will take place on May 27 with early voting occurring from May 19 to May 23. For more information on Glenn’s platform and values, visit, like Glenn Callison for Texas House on Facebook, and follow @TexansforGlenn on Twitter.
