The Texas Pool in Plano. www.texaspool.org

Looking for a place to cool off for the summer? The Texas Pool on the Creek is the place to swim and socialize this summer! The pool shaped like the great State of Texas offers a fun, safe, and family-friendly environment since 1961.  This private swim club is located at 901 Springbrook Drive in south Plano.

This community treasure provides members with a 168,000 gallon salt water pool, diving board, two water slides, water volleyball, shallow end for the little ones and snack bar. You can dive into the Panhandle, play water volleyball in East Texas or wade in with the toddlers in South Texas. The Texas Pool is staffed by certified lifeguards keeping the pool safe for everyone. From the swimming pool to the sand volleyball just outside our gates, the Texas Pool is the perfect place to stay cool during the summer of 2012.

It’s also a great place to host a birthday party for your kids. What better way to take the edge off that cake-ice cream sugar rush than a day of swimming? Birthday parties are available for members and non-members. Plus, for large events you can rent the entire facility for a private party.

The pool also has other family activities and swim classes this summer. We offer three Movie Nights throughout the summer on June 23, July 28 and August 18. In keeping with the aquatic theme of the Texas Pool, we will be showing “Dolphin Tale” at 8:30pm. This event is open to the public and is only $5 per person.

Memberships are still available for 2012. 10-percent discount off membership is available for active Military, Veterans, Fire, Police, City of Plano employees and PISD teachers. For more information on joining, visit us at www.TexasPool.org
