Don't let dear old dad wither away in his La-Z-Boy this week! Dad deserve a day out, too, and we have just the activity for him and his brood. If you're still looking for the perfect way to treat your other half, we might have just the thing! 

Lakewood

Recreate the famous scene from Lady and the Tramp at Spaghetti Warehouse. Dads eat free all day at the Italian restaurant for Father's Day, and if your dad was born in 1972, he gets a brownie sundae on the house!

Dad can also tour the Dallas Arboretum at a discount on Sunday, which also includes the Frank Sinatra tribute concert at 1 p.m. and the Chihuly exhibit.

Lake Highlands

If your pops is more of a burger and fries guy, then head to Picasso's in Lake Highlands where he can score a free burger.

Plano

Maybe dad loves a game of "whack a mole" more than anything else? Then take him to Main Event in Plano where he can play ski ball and Pac Man to his heart's content!

Oak Cliff

Celebrate dad's night at the Dallas Zoo, where everyone pays the children's admission price all day Saturday and Sunday. Of course, children under 2 years are always free, and parking is $7.

But what if dad's passion less zoo, but more barbecue? Save him a seat for Lockhart Smokehouse's June 27 smoke camp.

Uptown

Maybe dad needs some lessons on how to grill the perfect steak. Lucky for him, chef Jason Peppin of Morton's Steakhouse will host a class on getting your filet medium rare.

Keller
 

Perhaps a bona fide celebration is in order. Then head to Keller Pointe for a Dad's Day party done right. Dads get in free on Sunday, and there'll be plenty of games.

Grapevine
 

It's not exactly the "Love Train" but for dad, it'll do. Take a ride on the train June 17 at Grapevine Depot as part of a fun-filled Father's Day at 1 p.m. Dads ride half price when accompanied by a paid family member. Dads will also be registered for a prize drawing to return later in the summer and rob the train. 

Southlake

Southlake Town Square is hosting a Father's Day Drum and Bugle Corps Concert at 7 p.m. The Crossmen will play at the Rustin Park Pavilion, and admission is the perfect price: free. Bring blankets, chairs, and dad, of course!

Frisco

Kids can make a Father’s Day craft at Pottery Barn Kids at Stonebriar Centre on  June 16 from 4  to 5 p.m.  Kids will make a stained glass photo for/with Dad and should bring a small photo (approx. 2 x 3 inches).  Call 972-731-8912 to reserve a spot.

Watters Creek’s Lucky Duck Kids Club will be making a special Father’s Day craft on Saturday, June 16. If dad is more into whitewalls and V-8 engines, there'll be a Father’s Day Car Show by the Morning Maniacs at on June 17.
