For anyone planning on using the Dallas Area Rapid Transit to travel to the myriad of Independence Day events going on all over the city of Dallas and its suburbs, keep in mind that DART will be running on a special schedule instead of the normal Wednesday one.

All buses and the light rail system will be following a Sunday schedule, and the Trinity Railway Express will not be operational.

Multiple HOV lanes will be closed down:

• HOV lane on I-30 East
• HOV lane on I-30 West
• Reversible S-ramp at the southern end of the I-35E HOV lane
• Reversible HOV ramp between the US 75 and the I-635 HOV lanes
• Section of the I-35E/U.S. 67 HOV lanes from downtown Dallas to Loop 12

Customers with disabilities that use the DART Paratransit Services should be aware that the service will be on a Saturday schedule. The Paratransit Scheduling Center will be closed on Independence Day, so customers should call ahead of time to book trips.

Finally, the DART administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Customers with questions or concerns can still contact the Customer Information Center at 214-979-1111.
