Julius Randle, of Prestonwood Christian Academy, who was selected to be part of the Top 12 in the Seventh Annual Under Armour Elite 24, took home a big win in the featured Slam Dunk Contest with a perfect score. This is Randle’s second appearance in the Elite 24.

This event featured the top high school basketball players from across the nation who are selected based on their overall performance during the AAU tournaments and the national summer camps held by ESPN high school basketball experts.

"Not many high school basketball players have played in 2 Elite 24 events. Julius has worked extremely hard and is an amazing young man and deserves this opportunity,” said PCA Head Varsity Basketball Coach Chris Mayberry. “I am blessed to be able to coach and guide such a great young man."

Randle ranked No. 2 in the ESPN 100, is a top 2012-2013 National Player of the Year candidate, landing him a spot in the Elite 24 for a second year in a row.

"I'm very happy to be coming back to Elite 24," Randle said. "It was definitely one of my favorite events to play in last year. I'm very happy I get the chance to do it again and hang out with some great players."

The event was held at the Venice Beach Courts in Los Angeles, Aug. 24 and 25.
